Laureate of the first prize at the Kumamoto National Hōgaku Competition
Kizan Kawamura studied under his father Taizan Kawamura. He was awarded first prize at the Kumamoto National Hōgaku Competition and the Gold Medal at the National Tozan School Honkyoku Competition. He is a member of the Japanese orchestra Mutsunowo and the ‘J-Trad’ ensemble Mahoroba.
