Study group led by master shakuhachi player Reison Kuroda

Oushu Sashi is a famous piece of the koten honkyoku repertoire composed by Jinbo Masanosuke. While this piece is an important part of repertoire of the Kinko-ryū affiliated Reibo-kai, it retains some key characteristics of the Myōan style expressivity. Reison Kuroda’s rendition of this piece have earned him many accolades in the shakuhachi world, including the 1st place in the World Shakuhachi Festival 2018 competition.

The study group will be conducted in English. The recommended student level is intermediate to advanced. The capacity of this study group is 4 students.
