A japanologist, Tendai Japanese Buddhist school monk, the Czech-Japanese Society program director and an ambassador of the city of Kyoto for culture and tourism
Since 1994 Robin has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Czech-Japanese Society (in 1997-2000 and for the second time since 2015 he is its head) and participates in the organization of various projects related to Japanese culture (a film festival dramaturge, author or co-author of exhibition scripts, editor of publications, lecturer, etc.) and intercultural exchange.
He participates in preparing documentaries and television and radio programs dedicated to Japan and Japanese culture. Robin publishes articles and interviews in newspapers and magazines. He is a co-founder and program director of the EIGASAI Japanese Film and Culture Festival.
